There’s Got To Be More

I believe there is more. That song has been playing on my mind since early hours of this morning. Yes, there is more to life than what we see. There’s got to be more… does it ever seem to you that the life you’re living is a script been played out? Well, you aren’t far from the truth at all for it was king David who said: “You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breath.
Every day was recorded in Your book” (psalm 139:16)LB.
Think about it. Life is God-authored and God-designed so except you live according to this design, you are going to keep seeking for the ‘more’ in all the wrong places. You’re going to acquire more things and still be empty. I am at this point reminded of the song by the Donou’t Repair Club which says that life without Jesus is like a Donut for there’s this hole in the middle of your heart. Yes, there is ‘more’ to life. It just depends on what ‘more’ you are after. There is the world-view ‘more’ and the God-view ‘more’. So I’m going to ask you. Which ‘more’ are you going to go for? The choices on the world-view end are varied and not satisfying but the God-view choice is a single one: For straight is the gate and narrow the way which leads to life (Matthew 7:14)KJV It was Albert Einstein who said “God doesn’t play dice”. Profound words. For God does not give life on a trial and error basis. What you see from the Word is what you get. The choice is actually yours to make…Selah.
P.S Meanwhile, in a totally not-so-related-matter manner, this is the month of February. The month of Love we call it. What are you going to be up to every day of this month? Why don’t you decide to show some form of 1 Corinthians 13 kind of love to someone for each day of the month. I made a creed for this month. I encourage you to make one too as it will help us all to go the love way in this month (Plus please don’t smile ‘cos this is serious).
In this month of February 2016, I’ll try to be patient and not get easily annoyed especially when the toddlers in my house are running amok. I’ll try to be kind and share a smile with all I meet. I will not be proud or envious nor puffed up and I promise not to sell any fish (Oops, I meant to say selfish). I refuse to be easily provoked and I burn up all that record of offences against me which I have kept. I will not throw a hoopla and dance my feet off when bad things happen to my enemies but I will do just that at the prosperity of truth. So help me God! Amen. God bless you and do have a great and love-filled month!
